Pond
2026
Acrylic on Linen Canvas
36” x 48”
The depths of a pond remain intact as the surface is disrupted. What was once recognizable begins to fragment. In that way, the pond becomes a metaphor for an unsettled life—its deeper layers enduring while what lies above is continually altered by change, interruption, and forces beyond our control. When the wind finally quiets, the water begins to settle, and what was obscured slowly comes back into view.
